NEW! The NOAA Restoration Center and Alaska Clean Harbors are working with communities in Alaska affected by the Exxon Valdez oil spill to address water quality and marine habitat issues, and harbor improvements. But we need your help to know what is needed and where to do the work. Right now, we need project ideas and community partners and very soon we will be looking for project proposals (to receive up to $250,000 for qualified improvements). NEW! National Forest Community Capacity & Land Stewardship Program
Deadline: June 12, 2012. Grants of $5,000 to $24,000 to enable community-based organizations and collaborative groups to build capacity for watershed or landscape-level restoration. Ancillary goals include creation of family wage jobs. Available in Oregon, Washington and Tongass National Forest in Alaska.
