Nestucca Bay Restoration

Accomplishments: restoration of 87 acres of tidal marsh along the Little Nestucca River.

Location: south end of Nestucca Bay, near Pacific City (Tillamook County)

Partners: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Ducks Unlimited, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, James H. Stanard Family Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians, Siuslaw National Forest, Pacific Coast Joint Venture.

Notes: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Ducks Unlimited completed work on the project on Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge in 2007, removing dikes to restore full tidal flows to the former pastures along the Little Nestucca River.
