Washington Invasive Species Council unveils statewide strategic plan
The Washington Invasive Species Council statewide strategic plan provides recommendations on actions to battle a variety of pests and plants invading Washington.
Puget Sound Partnership Leadership Council approves initial strategies
The strategies will provide the cornerstones for the Partnership’s Action Agenda. The four strategies will be supported with future funding, adaptive management and education.
Puget Sound Partnership announces Action Area workshops
Meetings will focus on reviewing newly drafted profiles of each action area and initial strategies for the recovery of Puget Sound, discussing near-term actions and confirming local priorities.

Washington Agricultural Institute: family farm succession and transition planning

July 7: Full-day session will focus on training agricultural professionals about farm transitions and family issues. Attorneys, accountants, investment advisors, WSU Extension staff, Conservation District staff and other agricultural professionals will be interested in this informative day.
July 11: Full-day session for families beginning to plan for transition. Senior and junior generation farmers and spouses should attend to learn about the options available to them in planning for the eventual transition of their business to the next generation.
