Puget Sound Partnership hosts action agenda open houses and workshops
Action Agenda Update Workshops will be held in Renton on October 12 (Pollution Strategies) and 13 (Land Development, Floodplains, and Nearshore Strategies). Open houses for the public are on various dates and locations around the sound.

RCO seeks comments on changes to evaluation criteria
Deadline: October 10, 2011
For projects in the State Lands Restoration and Enhancement category of the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program.

Puget Sound Characterization Project: draft technical document available for review
Deadline: October 16, 2011
This project includes assessments that cover the entire Puget Sound drainage area in order to highlight the most important areas to protect and restore, and those most suitable for development. The draft technical document describes methods, models, and analyses for the water flow and water quality assessment of Puget Sound Water Resource Inventory Areas, as well as methods and guidance for applying the model results.

RCO seeks comments project evaluation process
Deadline: October 25, 2011
For the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program's Critical Habitat and Urban Wildlife categories and the Riparian Protection Account.

News from American Bird Conservancy: Washington Western Bluebird Reintroduction Effort a Success
A five-year cooperative effort involving several organizations has succeeded in returning the Western Bluebird to Washington’s San Juan Islands. PCJV landbird science coordinator Bob Altman, who also works with American Bird Conservancy, was the project leader.
